Singkids Playsystem

I bought the Groupon voucher for Singkids Playsystem and was rather excited about bringing the children there cos we had seen it on one of our trips to the airport mall but I had found the rates too exorbitant then.

After the false start on the 2nd day of CNY, we eventually managed to make it there at the end of the long 3rd day of CNY.

And boy did Christian enjoy it. He played his heart out and laughed so heartily I dare say I’ve never seen him like that before. He found some older children to play with, hitting floating balloons (which were propelled by fans) within a netted “cage” and collapsing on the floor from exhilaration/exhaustion/delight, clambering on the moving structures and challenging one another to see how far/high/fast they could go. Boys will be boys.

Calista followed her brother about, observed quietly, and whimpered a little when I placed her on a moving carousel like structure.. perhaps it’s cos she’s much younger, but methinks she’s a bit more like me, the quiet-observer type.

We had fun on the slide though. I was very impressed by the water which was captured between two plastic panels which formed the slide, so it seemed as if one was flowing down together with the water. The children went on it countless times, and we were surprised as meimei’s bravery as she clambered to get on it over and over again. She was very cautious though, and backed down whenever another child was on it. P said she’s probably learnt to be careful thanks to the tussles she’s had with her brother thus far.

P and I thought that there weren’t that many structures and that we’d be done in 45 minutes but we spent close to 2 hours there before I finally decreed that it was way past bedtime (10pm) and it was time to go home. I had a hard time pulling Christian away from the place, as he grew enamoured of the “race track” where you could race with other children on swing ‘cars’.

Christian obviously had such a wonderful time cos he kept asking to return to the “changi airport playground” for days after that. It’s just as well that we have another voucher that I can use.. it’s good to let children be children and vent all their energy out in healthy fun :)
